Other areas of expertise are finding and negotiating with a variety of asset based lenders to meet all your financing needs, including mezzanine and SBA financing. Gil is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, the California Society of CPA’s, attends meetings at the Commercial Finance Association, Los Angeles Venture Capital Association and the All Cities Resource Group.
Earlier in his career, Gil held positions as C.F.O., corporate controller and was a senior auditor and consultant at a big 5 accounting firm. Gil was a division controller of a 3 billion NYSE conglomerate (U. S. Industries) in charge of all treasury, management reporting and control functions from 1972-1975. Gil was a corporate controller of a $75 million American Stock Exchange company doing similar functions from 1975 – 1978. At both positions, he was involved in valuations of acquisitions, and selling underperforming business units.
